Last week was a big week for us! We had our Shopify Miami meetup with WM Digital— the first one co-sponsored by Shopify! If you attended, thank you for making this a successful event. And if you weren’t there, catch us next time!
We find that hosting networking events is a much better way to meet people and make meaningful business connections. At our Miami meetup, we had a great time and were able to chat with many different people while enjoying some treats from Buon Pane Italiano Bakery and wine from Santa Margherita USA. Local DJ Keen One kept us entertained (we tried not to do any crazy dance moves).
We enjoyed watching attendees use the Shopify POS system to purchase products from our featured merchants, including Carson Life, I Want It All Box, and Dafne. It was great being able to have a chance to work with these merchants.
Carson Life focuses on health and beauty, with products like skin care creams, health supplements, and hair care. The I Want It All Box is a lifestyle subscription box that includes products like makeup, fragrances, and jewelry. Daphne sells sophisticated jewelry and is known for its magnetic adjustable clasps. Attendees (us included) were really excited to see these products.

After everyone had a chance to look around and make a purchase, Ashley Spiker from our business dev department spoke a little bit about the experience and shared some examples of how a merchant might use Refersion to effectively use affiliate marketing.
